There is an awesome benefit to living down south in October!
You can take your kids to the park and enjoy the great outdoors.
The duck pond was an adventure. We couldn’t find the ducks
so we fed the geese. They are not afraid of people. Once we started feeding
them, we were surrounded. The kids loved it! Mom and I were a bit concerned,
because we didn’t know how we were going to remove ourselves from the circle
after we were out of bread. A gentleman, who walks there daily, helped us out.
We called him the geese whisperer because he was able to get them to move with
his stern voice as we got back on the path. As you can tell in the pictures, we
found the ducks a little after feeding the geese. They weren’t really hungry,
so being out of bread by then wasn’t so bad.
The Angel Park in Allen is always a classic. It was crowded
which kept Aaron happy and entertained. He was able to find multiple friends
while we stayed busy chasing the littles. James would sometimes tag along with
Aaron. For being 4.5 years apart, they make a pretty good pair.
