James Turns 2!

There are certain things about each of my children that make them extra special.  For James, it is his smile.  That child can light up an entire room with his handsome smile. There are so many birthday pictures where he has this amazing smile. He had such a great birthday and was appreciative of all the toys he received.

The poor child has his birthday right after Christmas.  I thought he would be so done with opening gifts and getting more toys! YEAH RIGHT!!! Christmas was just practice for the birthday gift opening. I think my favorite part of the evening was when he saw Mr. Benjamin with a handful of coins. Aaron got James a monkey bank for his birthday. As soon as he saw the coins, he ran to Benjamin. Benjamin gave him the coins, which was Benjamin's gift to James, and ran back to his bank to deposit the coins! He knew exactly what to do since he had seen Aaron do it with his Elephant bank many times. My kids love money and love to save!

We were happy that we had so many awesome guests. Granny, Pappy, Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt Aimee, Uncle Michael, Micah, Taryn, Benjamin, Sarah, Asher, Aaron, Daddy, and Mommy were there.

James loves Mickey Mouse so that was his birthday party theme. We actually had two parties for him.  The first one was with his little family on the actual day. We had pizza and he opened his gifts from the family. A few days later, we had the Mickey Mouse party and he had a hot dog party bar and opened gifts from the guests who attended.
