I am truly thankful for my family. This year we met in Orlando, FL. It was for sure a magical vacation. We went to Disney!!! The Schutz Family flew. We didn't think driving with a baby and an almost 5 year old was the best idea. Flying was great. James did have an issue with his ears, but the bottle did wonders and we are thankful for that!
June 15 - We spent the day hanging out with family at the Rainforest Cafe. Lots of noise and lots of people. Not such a good atmosphere for Aaron, but he did well and enjoyed visiting with his cousins. Later that evening, we went swimming and once again, enjoyed being with family.
June 16 - Father's Day (see Father's Day blog for more details)!!! We went swimming that afternoon. That evening, Nathan and I went to Planet Hollywood with my brothers and their spouses. That was a nice night out.
June 17 - Disney World!!!! It was a hot and humid day but we made it. The first 10 minutes of our walk through the park, Aaron said, "I'm exhausted." Oh boy...already? He was a trooper though. Once he figured out that walking meant great rides, he was good to go! We enjoyed a few big rides. I think the highlight of the day was getting to meet Mickey Mouse. Aaron is a big fan. We only had to wait 10 minutes for him. My little boy, who can be overwhelmed by such a character, was so excited and enjoyed every minute with him.
June 18 - We went to Blizzard Beach. We didn't stay long because of the rain. No one really cared though. We enjoyed the lazy river, the kiddy part of the park, and a good meal. After our day at the park, we celebrated Deric's birthday early (June 23rd). That was a neat surprise. We had a cake for him and we were all singing happy birthday to him. He was also singing!!! He had no idea that the cake and song was for him. Priceless!!!
June 19 - We went to Disney World again. We didn't get to spend a lot of time in Fantasyland when we went on Monday, so that was our first stop. We got to meet Tigger and Rabbit, Ariel, and Buzz Lightyear. We also got really good at figuring out how to use our Fast Pass which helped us get on rides quicker (thanks Amy Hicks). We didn't spend too much time waiting in lines like we did Monday.
June 20 - Aaron went to Typhoon Beach with Granny while Nathan, James, and I went to St. Petersburg to meet baby Abigail (see Abigail Ann Schutz blog for more details).
June 21 - Before getting back on the plane to Dallas, we went to M & M World. We all got a shirt to remember our visit. The plane trip back was uneventful. We were ready to be home.
