Big Boys

It has been a big month for James.  He is now 9 months old!  He is interested in everything and will not let anything get in his way of exploring.  He is a fast crawler which helps him out.  He will stand and walk a few steps to the next thing he is interested in.  He is fun to hang out with.  He enjoys playing with toys and prefers Aaron's toys over his own.  OF COURSE!!!

About a week or so ago James started sleeping through the night.  We put him down for the night around 7:30 and he doesn't wake up until 6:30 pm or so.  This has been very exciting for this momma since I need all the sleep I can get!

James now weighs around 20 lbs.  He likes to eat and started eating table food, the same as us, this week.  We still feed him baby food if the meal is not possible for him to eat. We try to find a way though.  He is getting in a top tooth.  More teeth makes it easier.  James still likes his bottle though.  Except for the night, he still wants a bottle every 3-4 hours.

James also graduated from his Doc Band this month.  That was exciting.  It didn't seem to bother him when he wore it, but we were getting tired of cleaning it and smelling it.  Around 9 months or so is when the shape of their head is permanent.  It'll still grow bigger but the shape they have when they are 9 months will grow with them the rest of their lives.  Good to know and exciting since James has an awesome looking head!

Not too much is going on with Aaron.  He is loving his school and doing a wonderful job.  He is moving quickly through his academic programs.  We met with one of his teachers this week and Aaron is learning how to read and doing very well with it apparently.  We haven't seen this at home but Aaron usually has to be pretty sure of his skills before he shares with others, including us.  We spend most of our time putting schedules for our time together.  He does very well with this and appreciates not having to anticipate the next activity.  It is good for him and all of us.  We like these changes and are happy to see him happy and enjoying life.
