A Thanksgiving to Remember

We do the Santa picture every year. We don’t like scaring our kids though. Nathan and I decided that we would use this opportunity to take a family photo since we knew Asher and Sarah weren’t going to sit on Santa’s lap without tears. I was happy with the results. I think Santa was relieved too. We went to the Fairview Village this year. We were able to schedule an appointment. Definitely the way to go. 5 minutes of waiting vs. 1-2 hours in a line to wait for the big guy. Aaron got to chat with Santa for a few minutes. That was a special moment. Santa really is magical!

After the Santa picture, we enjoyed an evening watching Disney on Ice at the Allen Event Center. Everyone did well. The kids love Disney and were able to sing to most of the songs. Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Goofy were their favorites. They narrated the show, so they got to see them often.

The next day we celebrated Thanksgiving. My brother and sister-in-law, Deric and Amy were there. They actually stayed for about two weeks. Our kids enjoyed seeing them. The cuddles and smiles were endless! Rachel, a family friend, also joined us. The kids enjoyed swimming in the hot tub with her. As you can tell from the pictures, the pool was open and heated for the Thanksgiving Holiday. A win for our kids since they love swimming!
