We had a blessed Easter. Due to sick kids, we weren't able to attend church but we did talk to the kids about the importance of Easter and why it is a special day. Easter isn't a one-day celebration. Even though we missed the big occasion at church, that doesn't mean this family still won't be celebrating all year long! The Easter picture below was taken a week after when the littles were feeling much better!
The kids enjoyed their Easter Baskets. The Easter Bunny sure does know our kids. The popcorn (cottontails) was a favorite as well as the Peeps for Aaron, Asher, and Sarah. James didn't like the mess on his hands so he said "no thank you" after the first one!
As always, great things happen when you go to Granny and Pappy's house. We were excited to share Easter with them as well as Uncle Deric and Aunt Amy, who were visiting for the weekend. Pappy put together the traditional Easter Basket scavenger hunt for Aaron. Granny took James on a flashlight Easter Basket hunt and the twins got to play with Easter Eggs that were laid out for them to "find" in the living room. It was fun for everyone.
