Pre-Easter Fun at Granny and Pappy's House

We decided to participate in the Farmersville Egg Hunt this year. It was lightly attended which was great for our family. We didn't have to worry about any of our kids being crowded and taken over by crazy egg hunting children! Farmersville Fire Department brought one of their trucks.  James loved it! We actually had a hard time pulling him away. Aaron enjoyed hanging out with his friends. He actually knows quite a few kids in town. That was a treat for him. The twins were happy being held and taking in everything that was going on. This was their first egg hunt!

What goes hand-in-hand with an egg hunt?? Dying eggs! Granny is pretty good at making sure this happens yearly with the kids. Aaron was very careful to make sure the eggs got decorated correctly. It really bothered him that James decided that each egg needed to have all the colors on them. His eggs weren't that pretty looking, but he didn't care! Aaron got a little creative with the stickers, he also used the hair dryer for some of the decorations that were included, and egg stands. I tried telling Aaron that he used to decorate eggs like James, but he said he doesn't remember so apparently it never happened!

We had a great time with Granny and Pappy. It is always a treat to stay the night since we don't do it very often being that our homes are not far from one another.
