Our pictures may look like we are a boring family, but I promise, our family is extremely busy. It is hard taking care of 4 kids. Picking up the camera or taking pictures with our phones just doesn't happen as often as we'd like. What's crazy is we honestly have such great children who make parenting easy. I could not imagine how this would all work with difficult children.
A few awesome things happened this month. Around the 23rd, James started saying Momma and Dadda. I promise the child knows who is Mom and Dad are. He follows directions quite well. If you tell him to give the brush to Momma, he does exactly that. However, saying those two words himself took time. We love hearing him call us. James is also teething so he has had his cranky moments. It is hard on us all since we are used to dealing with a happy, smiley, little boy. We know it is temporary.
I know growth spurts with babies happen monthly but this month was the biggest one yet. Asher is for sure bigger. They eat just about the same but Asher tends to keep it down. Sarah spits up. You can't give her any less though. She knows how much she wants and doesn't care if she loses half of it later. Not only did our babies get bigger but they became more alert. They can see farther and therefore are enjoying the world around them.
Aaron spent one of his weeks in June with Grandma and Grandpa in Arkansas. His cousins, Micah and Taryn, were also there. The three of them had a great time and enjoyed each other's company. Grandma and Grandpa enjoyed their time with their grandchildren too. While in Arkansas, Aaron went to VBS. He had a blast. The past few VBS years have been hard for him. He loves the VBS cd and can't get enough of it. We are so happy for him. He can't wait to go next year! I guess Grandma and Grandpa will have to start making plans.
Our house is finally starting to look like OUR HOUSE! We are settling in and starting to personalize the place. We still have a lot of work to do but we are satisfied with our progress and hope to have a house warming party for some of our church folks soon!
