Vacation to PA

This year we went to Pennsylvania for vacation.  It was wonderful.  We met the whole Hicks family there!!!  It was so nice for Aaron to spend time with his cousins.  We also got to spend time with our cousins.  We are all growing up.  Married, children, own our own homes, etc.

June 7th - We flew into Baltimore Thursday night and stayed at a lovely hotel nearby.

June 8th - We left Baltimore and drove to Paradise, PA to see Anna!   We ate a Mennonite Restaurant.  They had the best desserts.  We would have gone to the train museum, but Aaron just wasn't feeling well, so we drove to our hotel in Mechanicsburg to rest and wait for family to arrive.  We went swimming in the hotel pool later that evening.

June 9th - The next day we went to Zoo America in Hershey.  It isn't a big one, but we enjoyed being together and seeing the animals.  We spent the rest of our day swimming.  Grandma and Grandpa Hicks visited us.  That was special.  Mom and Dad also celebrated 28 years of marriage.  What better way to spend it then with all your kids and grandkids.

June 10th - We went to the Chocolate Museum and Chocolate World.  We weren't too impressed with the museum but loved Chocolate World.  I was amazed by all the people buying chocolate.   Don't they sell chocolate where they are from?  PLUS it is cheaper at their local supermarket.  We walked away with a magnet!  That afternoon we had a Hicks' Family Renioun.  It was great to see family.  It has been too long since we've all been together.



June 11th - Poor Aaron got sick on this day.  It was going around so he was bound to get it.  We ended up spending most of our day at the hotel while Aaron rested.  He told us later in the day that he was feeling better so we made our way to Hershey Park to join the rest of the family.   He must have been feeling really good, because he went on a roller coaster ride with Daddy 3 times.

June 12th - It was a rainy day.  We went and saw Madagascar 3.  The kids loved it and were so good.  We played in the hotel room and then that evening went to Grandma and Grandpa's house.

June 13th - We all departed and went our own seperate ways.  We did enjoy breakfast together which was nice.  Nathan had his first Scrapple.  We had a day left before we flew out so we went and enjoyed some fresh cherries and rasberries from Peter's Orchard, enjoyed the hilly roads, and stopped for a tour of UTZ.  We also went to Synders but they were done giving tours for the day.  Oh well...maybe next time!

January 14th - The Schutz family flew home to Dallas.  We had a wonderful vacation and were glad to see family that we just don't get to see enough.  Until next time...We love and miss you all already!!!
