Forth Worth Zoo

The last few months have been rough on the Schutz family. We have suffered from allergies and are glad they have sort of come to an end. We have been meaning to take Aaron to the zoo and were afraid we wouldn't make it before the heat of death took over Texas. Every weekend since it got warmer we have been suffering with runny noses, sore throats, ear infections, and sinus headaches. I think Nathan has figured out that he is for sure allergic to grass. We had to walk through a field of grass from the parking lot to the zoo and to the zoo back to the parking lot. Nathan had a hard time with it. Well...at least we can use the excuse that we pay for someone to mow our lawn since Nathan is allergic to grass.

The zoo was a fun day for all of us. Aaron was so good. He loved seeing all the animals and wasn't scared of them. He even got to feed parrots.

Aaron got to see the Zoo's white tiger. Aaron begged us to take one home. I told him that was crazy. The tiger was swaying his tail back and forth. Aaron said something like, "Alaska doesn't do that, so we need that cat instead."

We asked Aaron, when we left, his favorite part of the day. He said, "The Elephants!" I would have to agree! Watching the elephants kick dirt onto their backs to stay cool is pretty neat.
